For mortgage brokers
A mortgage file rarely falls over on substance. It falls over on three bank statements asked for in three goes.
What takes time today
- Opening forty files to know which ones are there.
- Checking that payslips are consecutive, and spotting the one missing in the middle.
- Doing it again for the co-borrower.
- Writing the chase, and forgetting one document.
What Klarfolder changes
- The mortgage list is checked per person: two borrowers, two columns.
- Series are checked month by month: the tool asks for August, not “a payslip”.
- An expired document is distinguished from an absent one, with its date.
- The chasing message comes out written, with no amounts and no file names.
What it does not do
It does not say a file will be accepted. Every bank has its own requirements, and the list supplied is a baseline that carries its source and date.
